Dr. Khalid Al Harthi

is a specialized Public Health professional in Epidemiology and Biostatics. Recently, he received his Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM) Fellowship training from US CDC, Atlanta.

Al Harthi is heading the International Health Regulation and Ports Health- MOH department in Sultanate of Oman since 2018 and Sultanate of Oman  National Focal Point International Health Regulation (IHR) WHO .

Al Harthi has contributed significantly to global public health through represents Ministry of Health- Sultanate of Oman in many of the international conferences, meeting and discussions, especially intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) (2022 -2025) and working Group on Amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005) WGIHR (2022-2024).

Al Harthi is also an active member in the Gulf Public Health Emergencies Network (Gulf CDC PHE Network) and Gulf Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the International Health Regulations (2005) for the Ministries of Health of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (GCC).
