Dr. Nawal AL Shehhi
Is an experienced public health physician with extensive expertise in disease surveillance and control. She earned a Master’s degree in Public Health (2012–2014) from the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree (2000–2007) from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman.
Currently serving as the Director of the Disease Surveillance and Control Department in Musandam, Oman, Dr. Al Shehhi has made significant contributions to national health programs and initiatives. She participated in the National Vaccination Coverage Survey, the National Vector Survey Project, and the COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign for Musandam’s population.
Dr. Al Shehhi has demonstrated exceptional leadership during public health emergencies, notably in managing Oman’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
