Halima Al Balushi
a distinguished healthcare professional with over 23 years of experience in Community Health Nursing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Nursing Practice, a post-basic specialty in Infection Prevention and Control, and certification in Travel Health Medicine from Glasgow College.
In her current role as the WHO National Coordinator for the Poliomyelitis Surveillance Program in Oman, Halima oversees key public health initiatives, including polio eradication, disease surveillance, and vaccination programs. Her exceptional leadership and strategic decision-making have enabled her to manage complex healthcare challenges, foster multidisciplinary collaboration, and drive impactful improvements in patient care and public health outcomes.
